Turquoise Bag in a Tree is an ongoing project which began ten years ago. Images of windblown turquoise plastic carriers are collected and posted at www.turquoisebaginatree.co.uk Members of the public are encouraged via the website and social media to collaborate in this project by sending their own images and sightings of turquoise carrier bags to hilaryjack1@gmail.com. Hilary has received images from all over the world and is currently in the process of creating a digital archive of these images. Turquoise Bag in a Tree was commissioned by Cornerhouse Manchester for The Bigger Picture. The resulting street interventions and video work was accompanied by an essay by Professor Dan Hicks MA Oxon, FSA,MIFA which can be read here
