Hilary Jack has a strong studio practice. Ideas for these smaller scale works are often triggered by the discovery of a particular found or discarded object which is then repaired or re-purposed to highlight issues ranging from climate change to socio-political narratives. Working from her Salford studio at Paradise Works, and a new larger space at home in The Peak District, the resulting work involves collage, sculpture, text and video for sculptural installation, public interventions and gallery based exhibitions.
